I got a notice from my credit card provider. Someone used my card to subscribe to Amazon Prime. I was notified when the purchase was placed. I called my card provider and told them that Amazon Prime is an invalid purchase. Even if you keep your cards with you, there is always a chance someone will obtain your credit card information. Here are a few suggestions to help yourself. Do not provide personal information to an email or a phone number you don’t reconsider. It’s most likely a phishing email. Look closely at the subject line of your email. If it claims to be a company, but it’s not. Send the email to their Phishing department if they have one or delete the email, not answer your phone. Make sure you have strong passwords for any online account you have. Keep track of any online accounts you have. Make sure you write them down and have your password written. Even with security questions. Write them down physically. Your computer may be protected, but there's a chance someone
